Projects & Milestones
Boards show one team's work. A project is a slice across teams: one initiative, such as a migration, a launch or a new feature, that pulls together tasks from Backend, Frontend, Design and anywhere else, with its own progress, health and reporting. Milestones break a project into dated checkpoints.
A project does not replace boards. Tasks stay on their teams' boards; the project answers "how is initiative X going?" at a glance, which tasks scattered over many boards cannot.
Where projects are listed

The list shows each project's priority, health, owner, teams, target date, and its task and point counts.

The right side holds the project's properties:

Reading a project at a glance
- Progress counts the project's tasks, or their points, done against total. On the Overview you can break it down by milestone, label or assignee.
- Health is a judgment, not arithmetic. A project can be 80% done and off track.
- Update overdue appears on a project that has had no status update for longer than its cadence. It is a reminder to the owner, and a hint to everyone else that the health shown may be stale.
Following a project
Use the Watch control in the project's header. Changes to a project you watch arrive in your Inbox under Updates. Becoming the owner of a project, or being replaced as one, is announced there too.
Private teams
A project can include a private team. Its tasks are counted in the project's progress, so the totals stay honest, but to people outside that team they appear as Private task rows without a title. A project all of whose teams are private is not shown to outsiders at all.
