Tasks & Boards

Kanban boards are the main work surface in XPT Tracker. Every team has its own board; a task moves across columns as it progresses and carries everything about the work — description, assignee, priority, labels, estimate, subtasks, dependencies, and its own discussion.

This section has three parts:

• Boards & Statuses — the board layout, status columns, creating tasks, and the task card.
• The Task in Detail — every field and tab inside a task.
• Finding Tasks — search and filtering.

Why boards: rigid processes (Scrum, SAFe) limit flexibility; no process at all loses context. A Kanban board with configurable states is the middle ground — explicit states and priorities give visibility without forcing rituals on the team.
